4. Description: The Government of the Bahamas, through Ministry of Works & Utilities, is seeking for a professional company capable to plant about 40 utility wooden poles, at various Traffic signal intersections.
Unit-price Quote
Quote shall include a rate for pick-up from the Ministry of Works & Utilities yard on JFK Dr, transport and install 35ft long utility wooden pole and transport to various traffic signal intersections in New Providence. The depth of the hole to plant the utility pole shall be 5ft below ground level.
Amount:
it is estimated that about 40 poles will be planted at various signalized intersection sites.
Requirements:
1. Company must (together with a quote) provide a proof of having special equipment and trucks to undertake the job. Accordingly, it is expected that the Truck should have turret winch and pole claw or similar to pick up and setting down the poles in the holes.
2. The works will be performed around Bahamas Power & light (BPL) overhead high tension power lines and thus compliance to safety requirements is paramount. Only the companies that have evidence of completed similar projects successfully will be considered.
3. The required equipment and trucks, including an Auger Truck for the said works must be in New Providence and ready to work as soon as contract is awarded.

The Client will consider for evaluation the first three (3) quotes/bids received.
